If there’s something I adore about the misguided children of the progressive socialist left, it’s their hypocrisy. First of all, they haven’t learned I just don’t give a doggone about their insidious personal attacks — such as referring to me as a war criminal. Yet, the frontrunner for the Democrat Party presidential nomination abandoned Americans to die and then lied about it. As a matter of fact, the person currently occupying the White House did the same, and to my dear intellectually and morally challenged leftist detractors, how would you characterize that?
I suppose taking an action to scare a fella into giving information (as I did) is so despicable, but leaving Americans to die during a 13-hour firefight is just fine by y’all? Now, that’s what I call sick.
And what’s even sicker is how a young Army Lieutenant sits in jail for killing the enemy, while an Army Sergeant who deserted his duty post in a combat zone walks around free.
Yesterday I was wondering, where IS Bowe Bergdahl? I mean c’mon, give me a break, it took no time for the Army to detain, charge, convict and imprison Army 1LT Clint Lorance. So why is it taking so freaking long to bring justice against a well-known deserter? It’s simple, because the hypocrisy that the progressive socialist left embraces actually celebrates Bergdahl. Remember it was Susan Rice who came out and spoke for the Obama administration praising Bergdahl as someone who had served with honor and distinction. Yes, you fight or scare the enemy and you’re reviled by the left. But, if you run away from the enemy and put others’ lives in danger, you’re beloved — actually, you’re a victim.
I scoured the internet for the most recent stories about Bowe Bergdahl and it appeared the most recent one was this from back in March.
As reported by Politico, “Bowe Bergdahl’s defense has requested to interview Donald Trump.
WHAT?
Franklin D. Rosenblatt, who is representing Bergdahl, sent a letter to the billionaire Saturday requesting to interview Trump over derogatory public comments he has made about the Army soldier, according to a document obtained by POLITICO.
“I request to interview you as soon as possible about your comments about Sergeant Bergdahl during frequent appearances in front of large audiences in advance of his court-martial,” said the letter, which was obtained Saturday. “Based on your personal knowledge of matters that are relevant to Sergeant Bergdahl’s right to a fair trial this interview will help us determine whether to seek a deposition order under Rule of Court-Martial 702 or your personal appearance as a witness at an Article 39(a) session of the court-martial.”
In January, one of Bergdahl’s lawyers told CNN that Trump’s disparaging comments had “irreparably compromised” Bergdahl’s right for a fair trial.
His pattern of doing so, with the full glare of public attention before mass audiences around the country, materially threatens SGT Bergdahl’s right to fair consideration by the convening authority as well as in a court-martial,” defense lawyer Eugene Fidell said.
Berghdal is being charged with desertion and endangering fellow soldiers in a military court. In 2009 the sergeant left his military post in Afghanistan and was held prisoner from 2009 to 2014 after being captured by Taliban-linked militants. He was returned to the U.S. through a prisoner swap in June 2014.”
Amazingly enough we now have extended Bergdahl’s victimization into the current presidential political arena. Instead of being concerned about the men who lost their lives in the search and rescue operations for Bergdahl, every stall action is being taken to prolong what should have been an open shut case.
I just have to ask, where were the stall tactics for Army Lieutenant Michael Behenna — now pardoned — but he was a victim of an Army legal system that withheld exculpatory evidence. And in the case of 1LT Lorance there seems to be the same chicanery. But for Bergdahl, perhaps the undue command influence emanating from the highest levels, i.e. the Oval Office, will keep this trial from happening, probably until after January 20, 2017.
And also, where are those five senior Taliban commanders which Obama was so adept in releasing in return for a deserter? Does anyone have an update on the whereabouts of those five wonderful fellas?
We just recently found out Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes purposefully deceived — ok lied — to the media in order to push through the Iranian nuclear deal.
What is the correlation? Well, in the world of progressive socialists, what would seem to be morally wrong is acceptable. That which is right and honorable is denigrated. A deserter is a hero. A Soldier is a war criminal. The enemy deserves to be released. And lying to further an ideological agenda — well, that’s something deserving of public adoration as the ends justify the means.
The greatest nation and the longest running Constitutional Republic the world has known needed to undergo a “fundamental transformation?” What are we being changed into, is the question? It’s becoming a nation where the narrative is driven by liars and enabled by a complicit media. And folks, we only have ourselves to blame because we failed to identify the blatant hypocrisy leading America down a perilous road.
It’s not too late but the clock is ticking. Especially for Clint Lorance sitting in prison at Ft. Leavenworth while a deserter walks free, and while one who should be indicted is hoping to be elected commander in chief. Clint sits imprisoned while the current commander in chief releases drug felons from prison…while the DoJ tells us we can’t use the terms “convict and felon” but instead “justice-involved persons.”
Where is Bowe Bergadhl? But an even bigger question is, where is America?
