There ought to be a petition demanding that the customary title “Honorable” no longer be accorded to federal public officials, elected and unelected. How many fed-up Americans would sign it? 100 million? After all, who in Congress and the executive branch are in deed honorable and worthy of that address? Very few. By now, it’s painfully obvious that most of them are self-serving, not honorable, out for the big bucks and couldn’t care less about the Constitution they took an oath to support and defend.
We the People through petition should end their pretentious charade by insisting that the title “Honorable” be stripped from their plaques and stationery. If these characters want respect and honor, let them earn it.
